Here's a cool tire changer that I discovered online. It makes changing tires a cinch. Here's a link to the site that sells them in Europe. It cost $175 with taxes & shipping there, but I don't know how much extra it would cost to ship to the US. Here's the link to the site that sells them, and also has a video showing how to use it. (click the English flag) kauritmoto.com/I wonder if a local machine shop could make a few of them for us? Attachments:

I sure would like one. Think you might be willing to make another one? If so, let me know how much you want. I'm tired of doing it the "hard way"!!

i was looking into the "DIY" and while looking at videos on youtube, found out that for 5.00 a tire WalMart will do it. not knowing how often one changes tires, this may be a solution? i had 4 tires taken off & 4 put on for under 23.00 One place quoted me 60.00 and another around 30.00 to do the above. I would still be interested in a DIY tire changer if coins & ease of operation are there?

I sure would like one. Think you might be willing to make another one? If so, let me know how much you want. I'm tired of doing it the "hard way"!! Have you finished making it yet? How well does it work? Did you use the rack & pinion design, or did you figure out another way? I just changed a couple of tires this past week. Either I am getting better at changing tires, or I am getting better at choosing easier ones to mount! I mounted a pair of Dunlop 606 a while back, and the front one was the stiffist tire I have ever dealt with...I had to invent some new cuss words for it!!

Mine is not a rack and pinion design. Haven't had a lot of free time to work on it lately. I usually find that Pirelli's are the hard ones to mount and I understand where you are coming from on the new cuss words!
