me and another brother rode almost 31 miles today. Went to the tower. that was brutal. a number of the trails we hit, ended up having to do an 180. Number 2 trail was a nice ride. on one of the trails, seen a pond, was tempting to give it a whirl but resisted. trail 1A also is a nice small ride. Trail 3, ran a small ways & did a u turn, when we hit the main trail, thinking that is what we were on, it was actually trail 3 still. not sure what happened there? looking forward to going back & hitting some of the other trails that we didn't experiment on. Garmin Etrex logging it all.

There aren't many tough trails on Doe, yet. The "road" to the fire tower isn't tough at all.
There is one trail we couldn't climb on 4wd quads, so there is plenty of potential for making miles of really tough trails. Most of the trails & roads already on Doe are running along the easy routes, the hard stuff lies between them where it's steep.
Of course it also depends on whether you're on 2 wheels or 4. Bikes handle some terrain better, while quads handle other terrain better.

there is one trail that may be of some challenge? if you go in by the hardin hill, as you riding what i call the main trail, it will split & trail 2 will be on your left side. take trail 2, then around 7 miles, you will come to a "cross section" that i think ties back into the mail trail. Go across & in about an mile or so, there will be a trail that goes to the right & up a hill. the first part is manageable but as you come to a plateau & it starts up again, that i think will be the challenge? i tried it with my unit & then had to back down because of brush & small tree limbs across path. i didn't bother trying again once it was cleared. If one makes it and follows the rest of the trail, it will "t" into another path & if one goes right, can get back to the main trail. i came across this from the other side looking down. some gents i was with went down but getting back up, had to use winch & straps to pull out. the unit was a 2wheeler although. if one decides to give this a shot, as usual, be careful. if anyone does try, would like to know thoughts.

i have been up and down this trail. It is steep with one spot toward the top that has a shelf that gets real tricky coming up. Going down the trail is just steep.
I would be careful starting up or down this trail unless you are sure there are no trees down. The first time i went down they was a tree down and it made for an exciting detour.
