Rode thru buffalo yesterday and encountered quite a few large downed trees in the trail as a result of last weeks high winds. Approx. 7 miles in the trail is completely blocked. Are we allowed to cut the trees out or will we have to wait for the forest service? Just wondering how that works. Thanks

You have to be chainsaw certified by the forest service before it is legal to cut any thing on FS land with a power saw or you could be fined or loose your saw if caught. However we have several club members certified. We will try to get in there soon and clear the trail. A lot of times the locals beat us to it but either way if the trail ever needs any maintenance post it here , thanks !!!
